When you’re a New York couple with dreams of escaping from the city, a destination wedding is exactly the way to go. With Filipino (her) and Puerto Rican (him) backgrounds, James and Danice wanted a venue with a suitably tropical feel, but that would be “neutral ground” for both of their families to travel to. They found the perfect spot in the Grand Palladium in Montego Bay, Jamaica, with its natural beauty, airy architecture, and plenty of sand and sea. It’s always a treat to shoot destination weddings, since it allows me to get to know a couple a bit more intimately after spending a few days in the same location. I fell in love with their families and friends (check out Danice’s dad’s “interpretive” father-daughter dance!), and both James and Danice are so warm and generous. It was utterly delightful to witness the cumulation of this frienship-turned-romance in such a dream-like setting!
